Hi All,

For everyone coming to the
Speakerthon<http://www.bbc.co.uk/rd/blog/2013/11/speakerthon-uploading-voice-samples-from-the-radio-4-archive-to-wikipedia>we're
co-organising with the BBC and members of the Wikimedia community on
Saturday (18th Jan), here are a few quick organisational links that will
help you prepare for the day and help us get as many voice snippets opened
up and on to Wikipedia as possible!

   - A general guide to the day including location and
timetable<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:BBC_voice_project>
   - A guide to using Snippets to find and snip audio
samples<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:BBC_voice_project/Snippets>
   - A guide to uploading voice samples to Wikimedia Commons (and inclusion
   into Wikipedia / reference from
Wikidata)<https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:BBC_voice_project/what_to_do>

If you are planning to attend the event, the doors will open at 9:30am for
coffee and sign up, with introductory talks at 10:00. Broadcasting House is
on a map here <http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/51.51852/-0.14355>. The
closest tube station is Oxford Circus which is on the Bakerloo, Central and
Victoria lines and ~5 minutes walk up Regent Street (north).

Please bring a laptop and some headphones and we'll bring the sandwiches.
If you have any questions or want to get in touch please email
speakerthon at bbc.co.uk.

Looking forward to seeing some of you on Saturday.

All the best,
Sam
