> I agree with Sarah-- these images are not truly Open Content. I'm not sure how (or if) the MET is going to police use of these images, but more importantly this policy furthers the tired notion that only scholars deserve to be able to use these images. One more problem-- these images have been stripped of their color tags (for non-technical readers: color tags define the colorspace that the image in when the color balance and tonality was approved. It enables a later user to intelligently display or print that image with correct color). Also-- no metadata embedded-- even the OASC copyright restriction!
