Hi,

As previously noted, in Tryggvi’s last message, plans are underway to establish a technical group to help steer the development of the OpenSpending going forward, and the planned micro services architecture for OpenSpending.

While this is being worked out, I’m helping to push things along.

There are a few places that anyone interested can jump in now and comment/take part:

1. OpenSpending Enhancement Proposals [OSEPs]

- See this thread for information/orientation: https://discuss.okfn.org/t/openspending-enhancement-proposals-osep/275 <https://discuss.okfn.org/t/openspending-enhancement-proposals-osep/275>
- Go directly to the published proposals here: http://labs.openspending.org/osep/ <http://labs.openspending.org/osep/>

2. Spend data use cases

There are a range of use cases for spend data that the OpenSpending platform in its current form cannot address. We’d like to gather input on this to help form the OSEPs and development going forward

- Share spend data use cases here: https://discuss.okfn.org/t/sharing-spend-data-use-cases/270 <https://discuss.okfn.org/t/sharing-spend-data-use-cases/270>

3. Moving towards a practical roadmap

OSEP-01 has a lot of big ideas, and other OSEPs need work. At the same time, we want to also tie specs and proposals to a roadmap for the next 6-12 months.

- Please add thoughts and suggestions on the near-term roadmap here: https://discuss.okfn.org/t/2015-near-term-technical-roadmap-for-openspending/264 <https://discuss.okfn.org/t/2015-near-term-technical-roadmap-for-openspending/264>

Paul.
