Simon: would be fantastic to collaborate with you guys on this sort of thing.
In terms of what we do with data on cuts, one idea might be to connect
current and historical information with news stories, parliamentary
transcripts and so on (probably added by users in the first
instance?). There have been various experiments with this kind of
thing [1], but I think the challenge would be to present it in a
compelling way, giving meaningful context, etc.
David McCandless also suggested something where users can play around
with different scenarios/projections of plans to deal with the deficit
- which would be interesting!
Any other ideas for things to do with cuts data? Or where we can get
historical data on cuts?
