Hi everyone,

This week I joined the OpenSpending team as community coordinator. I am
thrilled to become a part of the project and working to get up to speed on
everything. I look forward get to know all of you and find out about what
you are working on!

About my self: As a data journalist I have covered health care, lobbying,
procurement, taxation and the financial crisis in the EU. I have also spent
time crunching numbers for NGOs and international organizations and have
been based in the Hague since 2009.

I'll start out by calling for the first Community Call of the year, on

Topic: "How do I get started and what mistakes have people made?"
We will give everyone a chance to ideas, experiences and issues working
with the OS platform.

We'll try to kick off the year with community calls scheduled twice a month
in order to keep up the steam. It would great to hear if any of you have
ideas for topics, which should be covered during future calls. Also, if
anyone have issues joining calls on Wednesday's, let us know as this could
be changed.

I'm very excited to join and hope to speak to many of you on Wednesday!
