Hi all,

The Open Data Index was just released today surveying the state of open
data across 70 countries across 10 categories of data.

The blog post announcing the index is here:
http://blog.okfn.org/2013/10/28/government-data-still-not-open-enough/

You can find the scores for budget data here:
https://index.okfn.org/country/dataset/budget

...and spending data here:
https://index.okfn.org/country/dataset/spending

Congratulations to those of you who helped make this happen by creating
submits or reviewing the data!

If you find data in the Open Data Index that you would like to add to
OpenSpending, go ahead and create a ticket for it over at the Data to
Load-list:
https://github.com/openspending/datatoload/issues

Best,
Anders
