[OpenSpending] London Open Data Maker Night #6 - Tuesday 5th November

I and others will be doing a bunch of OpenSpending work at the next *London
Open Data Maker Night* will be on *Tuesday 5th November* from 6:30pm.

We'll be primarily looking at getting in more UK and London data - see
this issue
in our data wrangler tracker for

but we're delighted to work on other countries (last time there was some
work on Tanzania!).

As with previous nights it is kindly hosted by the Centre for Creative
Collaboration.

### Special Guest - Max Ogden

This month we have a special guest: *Max Ogden* - http://maxogden.com/. Max
has been doing all kinds of interesting stuff with data over the years and
recently started work on the Dat project - https://github.com/maxogden/dat,
which he will give a short talk about.

### What

Open Data Maker Nights are informal events focused on "making" with open
data – whether that's creating apps or insights. They aren't a general
meetup -- if you come, expect to get pulled into actually building
something, though we won't force you!

### Who

All are welcome. The events usually have short introductory talks about
specific projects and suggestions for things to work on – it’s absolutely
fine to turn up knowing nothing about data or openness or tech as there’ll
definitely be an activity for you to contribute to and someone to guide you
in helping out!
