[OpenSpending] Procurement app?

Hello,

The Open Contracting Data Standards project is looking at developing a
specification for describing contracting processes, particularly
procurement. The current draft can be accessed from links here:
http://standard.open-contracting.org/standard/ and by the end of the coming
week we hope to have an updated iteration of this ready.

The Open Procurement project is already drawing on the draft spec for an
open source application which you can find here: http://openprocurement.org/

Their Open Source Systems Overview presentation linked on that page
provides a really good overview of some of the different projects out there
with an angle on open procurement.

More generally, the Open Contracting Partnership community of practice
might be a good place to explore this too: http://pro-act.org/

Would love to hear if you had particular plans or issues you were thinking
of addressing with an app or project...

All the best

Tim Davies
