*Thanks Rufus for the introduction*

Dear Open Spending list,

we are making good progress on the EU Budget study and we are targeting to
share with you a first draft of the report early next Month, following an
internal review.

Also, in addition to explaining what is the EU Budget process and how it is
transparent, one of the main things we want to address is the demand for EU
Budget data. Our study will provide with an overview of what has already
been done in terms of EU Budget research and investigation in different
sectors, and what were the main issues, the main gaps, regarding data
transparency and reuse. *We would therefore really appreciate any pointer,
reference, or feedback in this area.*

Lastly, our report will come with two main datasets:

   - A detailed list of EU funds
   - The preliminary "Open Data Census" of EU Budget beneficiaries

We will fill these datasets as much as we can in the period of our study,
but we may ask your help at some point to review or help us fill the gaps.
So, be prepared ;)

Thanks
Pierre
