Good news on the BBC data front (see email below) as we now have the 
appendix for the search manual which details the various fields in the 
data. I've uploaded it to knowledgeforge and you can download it from:

It looks like I'm going to get even more data this week and I'll put 
anything new up as soon as I get it.

Rufus-  Ant has gotten the two manuals (which is everything we know
about the original 'grams' catalogue) photocopied and scanned, so I'm
preparing a bundle of stuff to post Monday, which will include a DVD
with the scans as well as the data from the 4xCD version that I wrote
about a few days ago.

But the appendix to the grams seach manual says something about the data
structure and fields, so I've compressed that PDF a bit and can attach
it now.  So this is a place to start, and I hope someone can make sense
of it all.
