I guess we might also ask: how can we encourage more publishers of
public domain works to make material open as in OpenDefinition.org?
One way is through (i) building stronger networks of 'pro-open'
cultural heritage organisations, NGOs, companies, etc, and (ii)
stronger norms about how to publish public domain works.
Paul, Mike: re: (ii) what do you think about joining forces and making
a short video about how to publish a public domain work The Right Way
(i.e. using PD Mark and other appropriate legal tools?).
Maura: how much do you see (i) as part of the remit of your work at
the Open Knowledge Commons [1]? How explicitly do you promote material
that is open as in OpenDefinition.org?
