[pd-discuss] Durationator collab?

Have any of the folks working on the Public Domain Calculators been in
touch with the Durationator project, out of Tulane?  They have their
own flowcharts for scores of countries (though perhaps not in quite
the same format) and are working on similar automated or
semi-automated ways to check the PD status of a work.  I met them last
week at Berkman in Cambridge and was impressed.

Since some eras had laws where that status depends on filing
registration or renewals, and some works are expressly put into the
public domain, all of this work will hopefully trend towards a global
PD Registry where you can get not only the "estimated" PD status of a
work, but also the "confirmed" status where available.  And where you
can submit any research you have done to clear a work, to improve such
estimates.
