Miska,

Wouldn't this rather favor a (old-)scraperwiki style view system.

For those who never worked with it: the old scraperwiki allowed to define
views belonging to a scraper and had a wide range of javascript libraries
for visualizations available - like this one could easily create views for
the data beneath.
