Michael,

Thanks, yes, sounds about right.
Alas I never quite got on Scraperwiki to see how it was in the good old
days.  But it sounds quite right.

At the risk of being a usability clog, I just hope there's a way of making
the interface such that everyday users don't get confused by all the
possibilities.

Perhaps some kind of voting system, for favoured views, would also be
useful.

Speaking of which, perhaps one might suggest 'standards' for making
'standard' overview visualisations, such that, if not already created, some
user could have some helping guides for making a visualisation of the data
that provides a fair overview and index of it.
( Others might want to focus on some aspect of the data, such as
significant details, and save those as views available for others ).

Yes, again, apologies for now having seen old scraperwiki. Probably a lot
of good ideas can be had from there.


( I should contribute some more to this discussion, as it's rather
personally interesting, but I've got a few distractions in my life
occupying my schedule slightly. More later/soon I hope ).
