Hi Fred,

Ok no prob.

One of the major things that brought OVF and wsfii together is that we
were and are moving forward on very similar tracks with OdiV/openDIV. On
an even larger level there is a global movement that involves scores of
groups all over the world in similar processes. We need to be sure we
are effectively linked with their work esp when it improves our own
process. ICT has a key role to play here as do openDIV's

So I feel there are many parents to this child. I see this as "morphic
resonance" - the idea that some things happen/converge/synch up at the
same time because they are interconnected in ways that we currently do
not understand living as we are in the modern world. The essential
message is: either learn to work more collectively and in harmony with
the earth and the universe or suffer the consequences (global warming,
massive drought, loss of species, etc).

On a more practical and less esoteric level, the Convergence Centres we
are talking about will act on this urgent realization by encouraging
more integrated approaches to development, seeing the role ICT and
specific with relation to us that wireless and open source
approaches/networks play in this process of increasing the collective IQ
of our networks and eventually humanity to address world urgent issues.

I see but I love freifunk - lets get FREE, OPEN and FUNKy right now
:-))!
