HUB BREAKFAST

Michel Bauwens | Peer 2 Peer Foundation
Monday 19th November @ 9 am

Michel Bauwens is a Belgian integral philosopher and Peer-to-Peer theorist.
He has worked as an internet consultant, information analyst for the United
States Information Agency, information manager for British Petroleum (where
he created one of the first virtual information centres), and is former
editor-in-chief of the first European digital convergence magazine, the
Dutch language 'Wave'. He lives in Thailand, where he teaches and devotes
time to research on P2P through his newsletter, which is posted on the P2P
site. It is his aim to develop a 'P2P Theory' which adequately describes and
explains current trends, to propose, in dialogue with others, sustainable
strategies for political and social change, i.e. to achieve a 'commons-based
society' that can operate within a reformed market and state.

Programme: (1) Michel will share about his work and practice and its
relevance for a multi-sited context like The Hub, and (2) Members are
invited to join an informal conversation around the meeting room table.
