 Glad to know, do you have more infos about this conference ? ( I'm in
Marseille )

A first step on this road was during the last European WSFII at guifi.net in

I followed those discussion on freifunk ML , Let's face it, today FON or
Meraki Hardware are not SO cheap ( Apart from special deal they can offer )
:

   51 Euros
   - A meraki : 49 $ http://meraki.com/products/mini/

Apart from the Meraki that is easily hackable. Fon is preventing you from
modifying theur products firmware. So people would pay for a Black Box while
they can Get a "Real router " like a Buffalo WHR-G54S for around 45 E (
actually we get them for 40 Euros for 50 units bundle )

In the Mean time, I git in contact with a Taiwan OEM atheros abg router
provider. He answered we need 2000 units per shipment; which we can't afford
, I will have more details about the price per Unit.

I suspect FOn to have peid accton someting around 20 $ per fonera1 units ,
someone can confirm ?
