Well, if any of the WiFi drivers found in the gear they are referring to would
actually support monitor mode, this could work *in theory* from the software
point of view. However, building and maintaining 150 satellites seems crazy
(iridium failed to maintain half of that number with a billion $$$ budget though
they targeted dedicated handsets, remember?). IP-over-DVB seems to be the more
appropriate tech for such a task (and it's actually being used for that for more
than a decade)
