Hi everyone,

For those of you who haven't heard of it yet, you might want to take a look

about Safecast.

Safecast was created following the Fukushima disaster. They are a global
sensor network for collecting and sharing radiation measurements to empower
people with data about their environments.

The article walks you through how and why Safecast was created and talks
about how open data is their founding philosophy.
