Hi all,

I mentioned in Lisbon that the European Data Forum, organized with the 
European Commission (Marta's unit Data Value Chain) and the 
Luxembourgish Presidency of the European Union will take place on 
16-17th November 2015 in Luxembourg. Attendance is free of charge. It 
aims to gather 600 stakeholders of the Data Economy.
In therefore invite you to:
1- Save the date
2- Circulate the information in your network, to people who could be 
interested
3- Submit a contribution. We'll circulate the call asap
3- EDF is traditionally funded by both industrials and European project 
which use their dissemination budget to get a booth. So if you are part 
of a relevant project which could potentially be interested in a booth, 
please forward the information or give us a contact.

Organised under the auspices of the*Luxembourg Presidency of the Council 
of the European Unio*n, supported by the *European Commission*, the 
European Data Forum (EDF) is a meeting place for industry, research, 
policymakers, and community initiatives to discuss the challenges of Big 
Data and the emerging Data Economy, and to develop suitable action plans 
for addressing these challenges.

The topics discussed at the European Data Forum range from novel 
data-driven business models (e.g. data clearing houses) and 
technological innovations (e.g. Linked Data Web) to societal aspects 
(e.g. open governmental data as well as data privacy and security).

Every year prestigious international experts from major companies and 
research institutions, as well as representatives of the European 
Commission, provide insights on the way to the Data Economy in Europe. 
Following the growing success of three previous editions of the European 
Data Forum, we expect to welcome 600 attendees from all over Europe 
working in industry, research, and government.
