[ECODP-dev] ODP: Release 00.08.04b - ODP-244 issue (ESTAT ingestion timeout failure)

Dear Bert,

As mentioned yesterday evening, we deployed your configuration changes proposal on test and ran several ESTAT RDF packages ingestions. The result was conclusive as all of them have been ingested without any error or time tout (which was not the case before the change).

So, we go for applying the same procedure on prod and see what happen in the next days.

Thanks for your message. Please note that we're always against changing anything on prod before having validating it on test first ☺

So, I propose that André manage that configuration change first on TEST, then he try to upload few datasets to control everything is OK and if so, we switch to prod.

Hi Olivier and André,

We are investigating the problem of ODP-244.

As first outcome to this problem we propose to change the configuration of RDF2CKAN to target directly apache.

Test the next command on the production machine:

curl http://localhost:8008/data/api/action/package_list -d '{}'

If this returns properly the list of datasets in the CKAN, then update the RDF2CKAN configuration.
In /applications/ecodp/users/ecodp/rdf2ckan/conf/rdf2ckan.properties point the api calls to

api.create = http://localhost:8008/data/api/action/package_create
api.delete = http://localhost:8008/data/api/action/package_delete
api.update = http://localhost:8008/data/api/action/package_update
api.translate = http://localhost:8008/data/api/action/term_translation_update_many
api.purge=http://localhost:8008/data/api/action/purge_revision_history

On our test environment, this enabled us to not reproduce the problem, whereas the original configuration did.
I updated the jira ticket with this message.
