Hi all,

FYI - I've received an abstract for Liz Turner's talk after asking her
what she will talk about (as suggested on an IRC meeting a little while
back).

Any suggestions where I should put it?

Also - I presume we're not going to make any kind of handout/programme
for OKCon?

Best,

J.

Hi Jonathan

Here's a short precis describing our philosophy.
I've copied my partner and collaborator, David Boyce,
who will be joining me at the event.

"A Thousand Words: Visualizing Meaning in Collaborative Media"

When we track, update, and tag resources, many shared
spaces acquire narratives which reflect the culture, context
and purpose of their origin. Conventional search engines
fail to expose inherent patterns, while visualization tools
convey little of the semantic richness these activities can
generate.

We need interfaces which allow us to better understand and
exploit the unique characteristics of the shared environment.
Pictographic imagery can offer novel solutions.
