Just received this from Alastair Dunning at JISC - who has invited
someone to talk about OKF.

(Looks like there's a clash with this and the Communia Workshop in
Turin which is on 28-30th June. I was planning to go to Turin for
session on pd-calculators.)

Dear Jonathan,

I am getting in touch to see if you would be interested in giving a
presentation on this issue at the JISC Content Conference on June 30 /
July 1? The conference is being organised in the context of the
completion of the JISC Digitisation Programme
(http://www.jisc.ac.uk/digitisation)

It's part of a broader session I'm putting together on opening up data
and content for re-use. What I hope you could speak about is the OKFN,
and some of the particular projects it is engaged in. The audience is
likely to be quite knowledgeable about the field. However, there still
need to be some solid case studies of the advantages of setting content
free, and what can happen when other users can get hold of your data and
start exploiting it.
However, if you want to take a presentation in a different direction
then that's okay

Let me know if you are available and keen to speak. The presentation
would be around 20/5 mins with 5 minutes for questions. We can't offer
travel expenses but we can offer you accommodation and attendance at the
conference hotel.

Further details about the conference are at
http://www.jisc.ac.uk/events/2009/06/digitalcontent.aspx

Many thanks

Alastair
