This sounds like a good development from a lot of angles. My
suggestion would be that we continue with the recruitment process as
planned, and encourage him to apply. By the time it gets to
interviewing candidates, we will have a good idea about his abilities
and fit within the organisation, but we will also have other options,
not to mention an open and fair process, too.
