Also, you might want to check out the DB app. 

It uses Hafas as well and you can query Belgian rail info with no problems at all.

I really doubt the official NMBS app is for any time soon. I'd guess at least 1-2 months. Maybe their target is just before the 12 December (time table changes); but I doubt really they'll get that kind of deadline. 

And with all the strikes going on atm, spending millions to develop an iPhone app might not be a good thing to brag about at this time ;)
