[kforge-dev] versioned domain object

Prompted by discussions in other contexts (public domain works db) I've 
been thinking about having versioned domain object where each time you 
change an attributes (or set of attributes) on an object you create a 
new version. What do people think both in relation to how difficult this 
would be and what performance hit it would impose.
