[@OKau] OpenSpending Next: 2015 Roadmap

Hi everyone

Since I'm new to OK and Steven de Costa recently nominated me as an OK
local tech contact for OK Labs I thought I'd take this opportunity to
introduce myself!

I've been a web developer for about 15 years, have worked in a variety of
different environments (government, marketing, tertiary education). The
recent history that led me to this position is that I spent some years
recently working in the Queensland University of Technology library where I
was technical lead for the university's open access research repository and
online scholarly journal publishing. This introduced me to various
openness movements: open access, open source, and to a lesser extent, open
data. I recently moved states and joined Link Digital as the technical team
lead.

As the local tech contact, I am trying to be a conduit for information
between OK Labs and local members. The OK Labs want to find out about local
tech stories and goings on and they want you to participate in their
regular Labs hangouts <http://okfnlabs.org/events/hangouts/>. I'll keep an
eye on this list for news but feel free to drop me a line at
mark.gregson at linkdigital.com.au if there's anything you'd like me share
with the Labs folk.

Paul, is there anything I can do to assist you with coordinating or
recruiting the locals for OpenSpending? Alex and I could host a Skype call
if that would be valuable.

Cheers
Mark
