[okfn-discuss] History of the Open Knowledge Foundation

Hello,

I have looked a bit and been unable to find anything which covers the scope
of the history. I think that the compilation has never been made. Wikipedia
would be an ideal venue for building this out because it is a place where
different people can work independently to add what parts of the story they
know.

A difficulty with Wikipedia is that the story there must be told by
summarizing and citing whatever is already published by third parties, and
should exclude whatever the Open Knowledge Foundation has said about itself.

I also want this article filled out soon. If anyone has sources that tell
any part of the story, then please share. If anyone wants to join in
writing this on Wikipedia, then let me know and I can meet you there. I can
also give Wikipedia training to anyone who wants it.

Thanks,
