A report of some issues using okfn.org from Harry Wood.

Issue with not showing logged in on front page is due to squid caching
that we know about (we would like to stop force-caching and will do so
soon).

@elf: wondered about his issues with the forum ...

Further to that I'm noticing a few problems with various other
channels around the OKFN website. Maybe you could forward this onto
whoever is doing the website
There is a sort of london homepage of the OKFN site here:
http://okfn.org/groups/open-knowledge-london/
As you can see it has a not-very-active wall of postings on which I
seem to the be the only one who's managed to post. There's various
obstacles for getting logged in. Once I'd made it past the
registration captchas and email verification, I found it tended to
kick me back to the main okfn.org site. This site must be separate
system or something. It seems to have a problem showing me as logged
in. Even though I *am* shown as logged in on the london group page.
The 'forum' section here:
http://okfn.org/groups/open-knowledge-london/forum/topic/
...doesn't work.  New topic posts are swallowed with an error.
I guess it's quite a new site so maybe you're aware of all this.  In
fact maybe I wasn't supposed to find the London group page yet. I
originally found it googling "OKFN London", but it's not linked from
the main site.
