I agree it's a UX nightmare. The challenge previously was having to
use JSONP which meant you didn't get a good error message. However,
that is now changed and I believe one gets a 400 error so something
could be reported. Time to file an issue on: the Recline GDocs
backend: <https://github.com/Recline/backend.gdocs>!
