Hi Ben,
I'm not a member of SAA but I certainly support the creation of the Open
Science IG, so if you feel external support is useful, I'd be happy to
submit a letter also on behalf of the Open Archaeology working group.

In the meantime, I thought that the git repository that was curated for
the session https://github.com/benmarwick/SAA2015-Open-Methods is well
worth a look, both for the actual content and for the possibilities it
shows for the near future.
