That all sounds incredibly exciting. Such value in open science .
As a side, the majority of our participants for Open Data day will be girls from CAGIS (Canadian Assoc for Girls in Science) and I know their leader would be super interested in this , and so will follow your progress.

> Hey Emma- Yes, glad you mentioned the Webmaker/youth side of Open Science/Data. Though it'd not fully sketched up yet, one of the modules we will build out will likely involve reaching out to the science community by finding citizen science projects, the next step beyond that involving designing experiments using an open framework like PyBossa. This kind of thing is still a little beyond what typical youth can do on their own, but exposure to open tools for science (and developing more user-friendly tools, too) is always a good thing.

The module plan is being developed, and I'll be posting the organizing documents for any interested parties to check out, but it would great to have local and remote participants help flesh out the course during a "course sprint" on Fri Feb 22nd or Sat Feb 23rd. The hope is that course will be ready to roll for Open Education Week in March, though the primary build-out will take place on Open Data Day.

>>> Feel free to get in contact with me if you have resources that could be included or ideas for activities that would align with the basics of Open Science/Data. If you're in the Bay Area, I'm also entertaining the idea of hosting in-person attendees here at the Creative Commons HQ in Mountain View.
