Embracing Open Educational Practices in HE

As open educational practices comprehend a series of activities,
resources, techniques and models, the idea is to introduce these
practices to HE educators so they can find the strand that suits them
the most to be applied in their teaching and learning.

Open Data as Open Educational Resources

Open Data which is massively produced by governments, international
organisations and research centres is somehow under-used in academic
teaching and learning contexts, but as free and open tools can be key
to develop research-related literacies including statistics,
modelling, information and citizenship as can be used to work in
scenario based learning

About Dr Javiera Atenas, Researcher and Learning Technologist,
Affiliation Academic College London - Open Knowledge Foundation

Co-coordinator of the open education working group of open knowledge
foundation and learning technologist at the school of management at
University College London. Her research strands are related with
democratic access to information and academic development in
technology enhanced teaching and learning
