Hi all,
just an idea, to add to the whole bunch of ideas that we are packing up
into this bus :)
We could stop by various hackerspaces (or other potentially interested
places) along the way and help them build a DIY book scanner.
It could be as simple as this:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Bargain-Price-Book-Scanner-From-A-Cardboard-Box/or
as complex as that:
http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-High-Speed-Book-Scanner-from-Trash-and-Cheap-C/
I'm not sure how doable that is, as I never made any book scanner myself,
but maybe worth involving people who already had experience with that
(anyone?). Either way, I think it could be a nice way to bring awareness
about the fact that "it all starts from the idea that you can do it
yourself, and everything else will follow".. :)
