[OpenGLAM] Listing of open access policies

Hello everyone -

This might be apropos: I've mapped the rights language to the collections
of 11 service hubs of the DPLA (University and state digital projects from
local libraries and archives), including Massachusetts' Digital
Commonwealth, the Kentucky Digital Library, and so on.

This was done as an independent project to see what might be Wikimedia
Commons "friendly" (for future upload) - sadly, a small percentage is.

In effect, this is the opposite of what you are looking for – it turns out
that this is a map of what is closed - it's the chalk outline for the body
you are creating!

However, I might suggest you look at the NOBLE project in Massachusetts,
while not specifically open, they seem interested in promoting pd materials:

http://heritage.noblenet.org/rights-and-permissions

The rights language collected is available for anyone to use further, and
there will be a presentation on this at the Museum Computer Network
Conference in November - please stop by!

Bettina

ps - this only a snapshot, as the DPLA is ingesting new material everyday.
