You can browse the subject hierarchy at

I always find it easier to write queries when I've got a sense of what 
I'm aiming for so it was the first thing I looked for.

You can also download the dataset from http://vocab.getty.edu/ but the 
full file is over 1gb in size so could be difficult to handle.
