Dear all,

first of all thanks to joris for highlighting this. Joris is right to point out that preparing individual answers will be quite time consuming but i would really encourage those of you who represent organisations (or who can influence those responsible in organisations) to try and provide proper answers from the perspective of your institutions. The simplified version at copywrongs.eu is really aimed at the general public and will not help much with expressing the concerns of the cultural heritage sector.

We are currently working with lots of other groups on a similar tool (actually also based on the fantastic work done by the OKFN_DE folks) that will allow more sector specific input. this will still be aimed at people working in various sectors. we are also preparing a more extensive document that contains suggested answers specifically for cultural heritage institutions. we expect to have that ready by mid next week and that should be much more useful for preparing detailed responses from the perspective of the Cultural Heritage Sector. once we have that document ready i will share it on this list.

all the best, Paul

The commission must know what kind of issues memory institutions run into because of copyright regulation. For more info about its importance please read Paul Keller's recent blog: http://pro.europeana.eu/web/guest/pro-blog/-/blogs/new-copyright-rules-for-europe-what-do-memory-institutions-want
