Hi Egon,

Sounds like a good plan. And more concrete in terms of actions and learn from daily practices.

Only researchers? Or others involved in the subject as well?

I think tweeting in Dutch (preference but not restricted) could work to get a broader readership and therefore create a broader discussion in the Netherlands (researchers, staff, policy makers, politicians, etc. etc...)

Best,
Jeroen

Hi all, NPOS friends,

about two years ago I tried to set up an NPOS estafette, but it did not turn out the way I wanted too, with too long period between contributions. It got too political, I think.

On Twitter we now have @NL_Wetenschap which has a lot of advantages:

1. Tweets are just a lot easier
2. I think the have several people lined up
3. not about the message but about the researcher
4. clear topic what to tweet about: daily actitivies
5. Dutch

What if we reboot the NPOS Estafette as:

1. @NL_OpenScience
2. we make sure we have 5-10 people lined up
3. tweets are about open science activities (open data, open standards, open source, open (i.e. proper open license) access
4. no politics, only action

What do you think?

One question: Dutch or English? Or up to tweeter?

Egon

Hi, do you like citation networks? Already 51% of all citations are available<https://i4oc.org/> available for innovative new uses<https://twitter.com/hashtag/acs2ioc>. Join me in asking the American Chemical Society to join the Initiative for Open Citations too<https://www.change.org/p/asking-the-american-chemical-society-to-join-the-initiative-for-open-citations>. SpringerNature, the RSC and many others already did<https://i4oc.org/#publishers>.
