This is an invitation to a national seminar on the subject of research
equipment data sharing, supported by EPSRC and hosted by the University of
Southampton, with key note speaker Professor Nigel Shadbolt.
The UNIQUIP<http://www.uniquip.org/> Project, launched in July this year,
was established with the aim of driving developments in the sharing of
research facilities and equipment datasets.
This two day seminar will facilitate discussions and debate in some of the
key areas of data sharing including –

- Vocabulary development - creating data rich information

- Technology developments - including interoperability

- Sustainable practices - managing and integrating data

- The future – creating national data sets
This event aims to demonstrate that the vision of sharing equipment data at
a national level can be realised.
With presentations from CERIF, EPSRC and across the data.ac.uk community,
the seminar promises to provide some fascinating insights, spaces are
limited so register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
