Hi All

Students from the University of Manchester, and other students from
Manchester and the University of Lancaster are organising a graduate
conference on nanotechnology at the Cranage Hall in Cheshire from 17th-20th
June 2013.

The NoWNANO Summer Conference is wholly student-organised within the
academic framework of the NoWNANO Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) and aims
to provide an exciting and informative experience for all of those involved
in the DTC programme. It will include speakers from industry, senior
academics and graduate students. You can find out more information about
the conference here: www.nanoconf.co.uk and find out about past
conferences here:
nownano.manchester.ac.uk/news-conferencesandseminars.html<http://www.nownano.manchester.ac.uk/news-conferencesandseminars.html>

They will be holding a panel discussion on open science on the Wednesday
(19th June) and are very keen to include somebody from the Open Knowledge
Foundation in a panel discussion on the topic, they would be interested in
hearing from a researcher who could talk about open access to scientific
publications, the impact of patenting in science, or any other important
topics that may be of interest to their graduates.

Would anyone be keen to take part? Travel expenses and accommodation will
be paid for. Let me know!

Best wishes

Jenny
