My spreadsheet is a simple compilation of the Nobel Laureates who signed
open letters to Congress in support of Open Access.  It doesn't have
anything to do with the Whitehouse nomination process and it is limited to
Nobel Laureates (and mostly U.S. nationals).

According to Freebase, of the 662 Nobel Laureates that it knows about, 635
are male and 27 are female (and that's across all categories, not just
science categories), so it's not surprising that the majority of the letter
signers were also male.
