[wdmmg-dev] recent OpenSpending work on end-user loading

Hello,

this week there's been some work on making it easier for end-users to do
some of the work of preparing their data for use in OpenSpending.

Carsten has set up http://sandbox.openspending.org/ . This installation of
the system will let people try loading and unloading their data: in theory,
they'll be able to get many of the problems out of it without our
assistance. A mechanism has been created for providing models and mappings
from external sources, e.g., via cut-n-paste of JSON or importing from a CSV
through CKAN. This is an alternative to building the mapping via the
existing web user interface.

Documentation and test coverage for these new systems is currently pretty
sparse, and it's almost pointless trying to guess how users unfamiliar with
the system are going to make mistakes until they've made them, but we should
soon see a broader range of datasets getting loaded.
