Well, now I looked at the three diagrams here:

Which are sequential (I took part in discussion for the 2nd one, as far as it relates to stuff I am working on for OKFN). I think all in all, the 3rd one (which I believe Tryggvi did), has the clearest use of colour, and simplifies the 2nd, is the most informative:
