Here's a sample js + ajax visualization of WDMMG data using thejit viz
library and the data.wheredoesmymoneygo.org API I did a few weeks ago:

There are clear improvements to this visualization, not least
replacing the dept codes with actual names! If people want to play you
can find the source code in this repo (in jquery/src/ directory):

This may be useful for others wanting to experiment with js-based
visualization and also may be an approach worth exploring as an a
simple html+js frontend to complement the more sophisticated flash
fronted we currently have.
