[OpenSpending] USA Spending (or a slice) into OpenSpending

Hi Lucy, Thanks for the note. I've followed your emails and work over the
last couple of years. I think you and the group have been doing a great
job. I particularly want to applaud all the efforts towards consolidating
and using open source info graphic and DM tools. Your links and work have
spun off several interesting projects for me. I'd be delighted to work with
Kat on setting up a US OKFN chapter. As I indicated in my emails when I
first contacted y'all during the early days of OKFN, it is KM, support of
sigs (which your choice of taxonomy calls 'working groups'), and the
metadata structure which concern me the most. I will probably focus on
those items with the US sig. I'll also communicate with Kaitlin to see what
support I might be able to provide her efforts. My plate is always full, so
no concerns as to how long all this takes. Best of luck and keep up the
great work. Regards, Steve
PS I used the links to try and join each of the US community groups. I
found the process cumbersome and somewhat confusing.
