*ANOTHER WORLD IS BLOSSOMING*: March 1st - 31st, 2006
http://wiki.uniteddiversity.com/AnotherWorldIsBlossoming

The systems and institutions upon which we rely for our well-being and
survival are at risk of massive failure. Ecosystems everywhere are in
decline. The age of cheap plentiful oil is over. Food and energy
shortages are on the horizon.

Few are aware of the full nature and extent of our predicament and, of
those that are, many feel powerless to do anything about it.

Corporate media manipulates our minds while the monetary system
continues to fund plundering unelected presidents and plunge the world
into an ever-increasing spiral of debt.

But all is not lost. There IS another way. In fact, Another World Is
Blossoming...

Communities across the World are beginning to self-organise and share
resources in order to take back control of their lives and build hope
for a sustainable future.

Another World Is Blossoming events will raise awareness about our
predicament, inspire collective action for change and launch the Synergy
Community Fund.

With films, music, debate and more participants will be empowered with
knowledge about the state of the world, what pioneering groups are doing
about it and how they can join in.

The Cycle of Peace @ rampART
A feature-length documentary about a unique journey from London to
Jerusalem.

Screening at the rampART on Friday, 17th March 2006, 8pm

In August/September 2004, a group of up to 25 international activists
cycled from London to Jerusalem. It was a unique seven-week physical
challenge through Europe and the Middle East. Throughout Europe the aim
was to raise public awareness of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian
land and how it affects the lives of the people in the region, and to
call for an end to this occupation as stipulated in United Nations
Resolution 242. In Palestine and Israel the aim was to show solidarity
with those who continue to live in fear and turmoil as a result of the
occupation and in particular, to call for justice for the Palestinian
people as being the only way to a lasting peace for all people in Israel
and Palestine. 'The Cycle of Peace' is about this journey.

In 2006, a second ride is being organised with the same aims, but taking
a different route from London to Jerusalem. The Peace Cycle is currently
recruiting cyclists to participate for as much or little of the ride as
they can. Watch 'The Cycle of Peace' and choose whether you want to
support The Peace Cycle 2006.
