Interconnected Web of Wi-Fi Hotspots, Municipal Meshes Forming
11:46AM 9/21/06

Nomadix, Inc., a leading supplier of intelligent network devices and
interconnect services for guest access, digital cities, and carrier
HotSpots, is working with Telefonica Peru to deploy a web of
'coexisting' Internet HotSpots and municipal meshes. The service is
targeted at Telefonica Peru's high number of mobile professionals, and
will function as a pay-as-you-go Roaming IP service to all subscribers.

"Telefonica Peru's coexisting Wi-Fi networks will provide an
unprecedented level of mobility," said Fernando Jimenez Motte, Internet
Product Manager of Telefonica Peru. "Nomadix gateways are known for
their flexibility, reliability, scalability, and ease-of-installment.
The gateways are also rigorously secure, which is of the utmost
importance to our financial services customers."

Telefonica Peru's Roaming IP services will be available in Lima and
other key Peruvian provinces, and will also include Wi-Fi hotspots in 68
other countries through its partnership with iPass, a leading mobile
broadband roaming provider located in Redwood Shores, California.
Telefonica Peru expects the new services to drive exponential increases
in new subscriptions as well as an increase in international Roaming IP
above 2006 levels. The hotspots and mesh networks, deployed in airports,
hotels, shopping centers, and other public spaces, will make Peru one of
the preeminent wireless societies on the planet.

The Nomadix Service Engine (NSE) is a Wi-Fi gateway that resides in
venue, carrier, municipality, or service provider infrastructure to
enable connectivity in public access environments. Embedded on the NSE
itself, Nomadix' patented gateway software immediately and invisibly
adapts to a computer's settings to enable a secure, easy-to-use
connection. In addition, NSE software presents a unique service creation
environment, and supports a variety of revenue-generating and
monetization mechanisms for operators. Since its inception, Nomadix has
shipped over 26,000 NSE-enabled units to customers in over 60 countries.

"Nomadix' technology allows for the creation of services that both
streamline the user experience and allow for success in all Telefonica
Peru's goals," said Scott Zumbahlen, director of marketing for Nomadix.
"This deployment fits within a larger framework of digital communities
in which high-speed wireless Internet functions as an ever-present
utility for the mobile lifestyle. We are pleased to be a part of this
global trend."

Respectfully,
