Hi Kloschi, Hi Jeff,
thanks for your thoughts and the links,
and for keeping this list commercial-free...
I was always intuitively suspicious of facebook, myspace and the like,
but hadn't read too deeply into it until now.
After a couple wasted hours of reading the terms and development section
of facebook, I stil haven't found a way to GET OUT...
Apparantly "everyone can join" but it's not so easy to leave once you're
in. Nowhere under terms did I find the word "unsubscribe" or "cancel"...
Does anyone know of any larger, international social networking groups
that are independent and non-commercial?
it's really a pity that cool social media applications like these can't
also be truly socially just.
