Are you planing to upgrade the software in the hardware that you will buy ?

It's what people do most of the time, thay buy openwrt compliant cheap
hardware and upgrade the software.

I don't think apart from WDS , that ubiquity stock firmware support Mesh
network.

are you looking for outdoor only ?
