Interest from open document fellowship in using kforge. Currently we
support most of their requirements. However kforge is not yet 'stable'
so I am in two minds as to what to respond. While on the one hand it
would be great to have them using the service on the other I would not
want to be responsible for delivering a reliable service on a beta system.
Regards,
Rufus

You need to speak to Rufus Pollock (in CC) about this. I have no doubt
he would
give it serious consideration. OKFN also run this: http://okfn.org/iai/
Rufus is also very intrested in CivicRM if that helps:

It might be good to get more synergy going.

Oh, goodie. I hope that KForge actually provides all of that. That would be
cool.
Cheers,
Daniel.

Hello,
How would you feel about ODF moving to SourceForge? (provided they
accept us).
In terms of software they offer everything we have today:
* Mailing lists.
* LAMP stack - can anyone check that they *do* have MySQL?
So, let's go over benefits and potential problems:
Benefits:
---------
* Free hosting.
* List archives.
* CVS
* List of files people can download (useful for the utilities we produce).
* Proven record. We know what to expect.
Drawbacks:
----------
* Migration
As long as they have MySQL and phpMyAdmin, migration shouldn't be too
painful.
PmWiki and MySQL are migration-friendly.
* Mailing lists
If we move to SF, can we still have lists @opendocumentfellowship.org?
For our group here I wouldn't care much. But for people outside, like
the press,
I like having press at opendocumentfellowship.org and the like.
Also, I'm not sure if we could have lists like press at ... These may need to
change to odf-press at ... etc.
I'd like to hear your opinion. Migration to SF is one of those things
that are
better done sooner than later.
Cheers,
Daniel.
